Streamlight 8866 ProTac Rail Mount HL-X is a highly efficient weapon-mounted light with a low profile design, weighing only 6.4 ounces with CR123A batteries, and 6.9 ounces with the optional 1865 Li Ion rechargeable battery. The light features a rail clamp that allows for rapid and secure attachment and detachment from rifles, carbines, and submachine guns with a MIL Standard 1913 Rail. It can be operated using a remote switch with momentary/constant on operation, or a standard push-button tail switch. The ProTac Rail Mount HL-X can run on either two CR123A lithium batteries or one Streamlight rechargeable 1865 battery.
This high-performance flashlight uses LED technology that is impervious to shock, with a lifetime of 50,000 hours. The TIR optic produces a concentrated beam with optimum peripheral illumination. The light offers the convenience of TEN-TAP Programming, with three user-selectable programs: high/strobe, high only, and low/high. The remote pressure switch features momentary and “constant on” operation, providing flexibility to the user.
The ProTac Rail Mount HL-X is built to withstand harsh conditions, with a durable construction made of 6000 Series machined aircraft aluminum and an impact-resistant tempered glass lens. It is IPX7 waterproof to 1 meter for 30 minutes with the tail button switch, and IPX4 water-resistant with the remote switch.
Featuring a fixed rail grabber with thumbscrew, the light easily attaches to Picatinny rails without the need for tools. The one-handed snap-on and tighten interface keeps hands away from the muzzle when attaching or detaching the light.
